You’re helping Levi empower tomorrow’s young men

Embedded into SU’s DNA is a passion for equipping and supporting young Christians to reach more children, young people and their families with the transforming love of Jesus.

Your support makes it possible for young people like Levi to do just that.

Now 20, Levi recalls his first SU Junior Camp as an 11-year old, which planted a seed that continues to grow to this day.

“I remember at the end of camp, Chris Battistuzzi [SU Australia Regional Manager – SA] got up and spoke about GENTS, and for a long time after that I always had it in my mind that it was a camp I wanted to do,” recalls Levi.

But it wasn’t until he was 18 that Levi followed up this interest, thanks to the prompt of a close friend – a fact he’s eternally grateful for today.

“I wasn’t expecting to gain much for myself. I was just hoping to have fun and step into youth ministry. But the camp impacted me profoundly.

“The community of guys really cared for me. I was taken off guard by it, but I came away from that camp feeling refreshed, renewed, and with a whole new community behind me, like a band of brothers,” Levi says.

He has continued to engage with GENTS Camp, including GENTS Father & Sons Camp, and other ministries within SU too.

“I’ve done three Father & Sons camps as a helper. I have a real heart for seeing dads stepping into their sons’ lives. Getting a dad and his son to have important conversations is going to reach far into their future.”

It’s this same heart for dads and sons that drives Levi to want to be a mentor for other young men and help impact the next generation with God’s love, hope and good news.

“I want to invest in them, to show them I care, that they matter, and to see their confidence grow in who they are in God,” says Levi.

Thank you for investing in the lives of young people like Levi who are being equipped and released to bring God’s love, hope and good news to the next generation of young men.
