Reflecting on the Triumph of SUPA Summa Fun

Evie Dow, a team member on SUPA Summa Fun in Mannum, reflects on how this year’s mission reached new heights with the introduction of a brand new teens program running alongside the beloved kids program. With 37 children engaged in learning about Jesus and 8 teenagers joining and building connections with the team for the first time, God’s hand was undoubtedly all over the mission.

Evie’s role primarily revolved around leading the teens program, a task that initially sparked a mix of both nerves and excitement. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of the team and God’s guidance, the new program exceeded all expectations. Welcoming 8 teenagers to the afternoon sessions with some even coming along for the exciting ‘Mannum’s Got Talent’ event stood as a testament to the mission’s success.

A personal highlight of Evie’s was the opportunity she had to deepen connections with the teenagers after the talent night. She fondly recalls that “everyone had a lot of fun that evening and the atmosphere in the room was one of joy and love,” providing a fitting way to celebrate the week spent together.

The program looked like a rotation of games, meals, talks and discussions centred around God’s Word. The team of leaders were pleased to forge lasting connections with the children and the new teenagers from Mannum, already anticipating and praying for their return next year.

Through your support, opportunities are created for young people to learn about God, grow in their faith and experience Christian community that points them to Jesus.
