You helped Hannah’s faith grow
This year’s SUPA Splash, held at Camp Geographe from January 1-6 was an amazing time for young campers to learn about God, while having an awesome time enjoying his creation.
The camp, which is for young people in Years 4-6, is also a platform for junior leaders like Hannah to grow in their faith and leadership skills as they create opportunities for the next generation to experience the transforming love of Jesus.
“The relaxed but fun atmosphere of camp provided a perfect opportunity to get to know different campers and build lasting connections with them. We got to speak about God and encourage them in their walk of faith and life in general,” says Hannah.
Activities this year included archery, mini golf, navigating mazes, and an awe-inspiring walk at Cape Naturaliste. Campers also worked together in small groups for scavenger hunts, beach games and drama activities.
For Hannah, it was an unforgettable and empowering experience.
“It was an amazing time to step out in faith and trust God to guide me in my leadership. I really feel like I grew a lot as a leader and as a person while making some lasting friendships.”
For Team Leader Lachlan, his highlights included the Talking About God (TAG) sessions run by Doug, a retired Uniting Church Minister and camp grandparent, and praying and singing on the beach for the last night of camp.
“We also had an opportunity to pray over the campers who were heading into Year 7 (high school) this year,” he says.
Thank you to everyone for making camps like SUPA Splash possible. You are amazing.
