You connected Hannah with Christian kids at Moonta

Through SU beach missions and camps we have the opportunity to connect with children, young people and families and show them God’s love.

At each mission our teams are reminded of why ministries like Moonta Family Mission are so important.

Moonta Family Mission team member Seb was reminded of this when he met Hannah, who joined the 7-9 -year old group this summer.

“Hannah arrived on Monday, excited and raring to go. She brought so much energy to the group, and was fantastic at including the other children. Everyone had a friend in Hannah,” Seb shares.

When one of the team leaders spoke with Hannah’s mum later in the week, it was clear why this was such a special time for her.

“The family attends a church where they are the only people under 70. The mum explained that Moonta Family Mission was one of the only times in the year where Hannah gets to hang out with other kids in a Christian context. So she looks forward to it all year,” Seb says.

For Seb, he left this year’s family mission with an even greater appreciation for why we serve God through the various ministries we run in communities across Australia.

“Every child, whether they know Jesus or not, has a story that has led them to be part of a mission. They might be a regular like Hannah, who looks forward to it all year, or they might just be hearing about Jesus for the very first time. The great thing is Jesus’ message is for everyone,” he says.

You are the reason family missions like Moonta are possible each year. Thank you so much for your prayers and support!
