LEAVERS
Our Leavers Camps offer the ultimate fun and positive experience for school leavers!
Whether you want to celebrate by snorkelling with turtles at WA’s best beaches, dancing the night away, or just lazing by the pool, there is an SU Leavers for everyone!
Registration and information can now be found here: SU Events (If you need assistance finding the WA events, please follow the instructions here)
BREAKAWAY CAMPS
Breakaway camps are for children and youth who have a family member or someone close to them in prison. The camps run in partnership with Prison Fellowship.
These camps are an action-packed week of activities. You’ll make new friends, meet new challenges, grow in your confidence and explore life issues from a Christian perspective. Throughout the year we run Breakaway Kids for Years 4-7 and Breakaway Youth for Years 7-12.
CAMP GEO
Camp Geo is SU’s campsite in WA, located on Geographe Bay near Busselton.
This lovely campsite features dormitory style accommodation, nestled amongst shady trees, with beach frontage. Every group that comes to stay at Camp Geo says there is something special about the place. One teacher recently shared “we’ve been running our school camps here for over 30 years now. It’s such a special place as so many of my students have had significant God moments here”.
SCHOOLS
SU runs professional programs that are well received by schools. We’ve done the hard yards with setting up insurance, resources, volunteer screening, and all the usual checks, so you don’t need to start from scratch. Find out more about our school activities below.
SCHOOL CAMPS
School Camping is a partnership between schools and the SU team. School Camps are based at various locations around WA, including at our Busselton campsite, Camp Geo. We develop bespoke school camps that meet the needs of your school community. Through community and experiential learning activities, school camps develop students resilience and skills in leadership, problem solving, teamwork and positive life choices. Going on an SU School Camp is a powerful life and faith development experience for students.
MENTORING
SU’s Mentoring Program is an exceptional way for churches and individuals to serve their local school and form connections with students and teachers. In one hour a week, volunteers can make a significant difference to the life of a child or young person, and witness to God’s love through building one to one caring relationships.
SCHOOL GROUPS
SUPA Clubs run during lunchtimes or after school and provide an opportunity for primary aged children to learn about Jesus in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Students come to play games, learn from the Bible and develop strong, encouraging relationships with each other and with passionate and dedicated volunteer leaders.
WA COMMUNITY MISSIONS
SU supports local people doing local mission in sharing the love of Jesus! Our Community Missions are unique and contextualised to the environment in which they take place in.
Whether geographical or an interest community, through exploring justice or developing local community life, SU supports projects that explore innovative ideas for mission and community development. Our famous Summer Beach Missions also see us set-up in coastal campsites or on the sand, to serve local communities through fun activities, meaningful interactions, and by taking opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus.
