BREAKAWAY CAMPS
Breakaway camps are for children and youth who have a family member or someone close to them in prison. The camps run in partnership with Prison Fellowship.
These camps are an action-packed week of activities. You’ll make new friends, meet new challenges, grow in your confidence and explore life issues from a Christian perspective. Throughout the year we run Breakaway Kids for Years 4-6 and Breakaway Youth for Years 7-12.

CAMP GEO

Camp Geo is SU’s campsite in WA, located on Geographe Bay near Busselton.
This lovely campsite features dormitory style accommodation, nestled amongst shady trees, with beach frontage. Every group that comes to stay at Camp Geo says there is something special about the place. One teacher recently shared “we’ve been running our school camps here for over 30 years now. It’s such a special place as so many of my students have had significant God moments here”.
SCHOOLS
SU runs professional programs that are well received by schools. We’ve done the hard yards with setting up insurance, resources, volunteer screening, and all the usual checks, so you don’t need to start from scratch. Find out more about our school activities below.

SCHOOL CAMPS
School Camping is a partnership between schools and the SU team. School Camps are based at various locations around WA, including at our Busselton campsite, Camp Geo. We develop bespoke school camps that meet the needs of your school community. Through community and experiential learning activities, school camps develop students resilience and skills in leadership, problem solving, teamwork and positive life choices. Going on an SU School Camp is a powerful life and faith development experience for students.
MENTORING
SU’s Mentoring Program is an exceptional way for churches and individuals to serve their local school and form connections with students and teachers. In one hour a week, volunteers can make a significant difference to the life of a child or young person, and witness to God’s love through building one to one caring relationships.

SCHOOL GROUPS
SUPA Clubs run during lunchtimes or after school and provide an opportunity for primary aged children to learn about Jesus in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Students come to play games, learn from the Bible and develop strong, encouraging relationships with each other and with passionate and dedicated volunteer leaders.
WA COMMUNITY MISSIONS
SU supports innovative mission and community engagement projects, whether they focus on geographical areas or specific interest groups. These events explore new ways to engage with a variety of themes, from social justice to building local community life. Our well-known Summer Beach Missions and Family Festivals, for example, involve setting up at coastal campsites, town centres or directly on the sand to serve local communities. Through fun activities and meaningful interactions, we share the good news of Jesus. An indication of upcoming WA community missions are listed below or click on the thumbnails underneath to register for current WA mission experiences.

CHURCHES & PARTNERSHIPS
Strengthening one another, side by side.
At SU, we recognise that we are one church, one body, united in Jesus’ mission. Our mission is to see every child, young person and their family across WA and Australia to discover life in God’s big story. It’s a big mission – and we believe that by working together, in partnership with local churches, we can all play our part!
Through partnerships with local churches, businesses and communities, we’re continuing to see lives transformed. SU has a flexible, creative and adaptable approach, that aims to serve the needs of local churches in their respective context.
With a heart to catalyse ministry and strengthen church footprints in local communities, we work alongside you and your church, because we’re better together!
SU also offers a range of Discipleship Support with practical ideas and methods to enable your people to grow in faith and their journey with Christ. Additionally, we provide volunteering opportunities on SU programs to put faith into action.
We would love to connect with you and your church to explore the possibilities.
