Welcome to Victoria!

SU in Victoria has been active for almost 150 years. As a Christian volunteer movement, we work with local churches to offer a variety of creative ministries for children, young people and families. These ministries include volunteer-staffed programs at beach locations, holiday and school camps, school ministries, youth outreach programs and school chaplaincy. Throughout its history, SU has impacted lives in Victoria by empowering volunteers and adapting to contemporary needs.

Camp Coolamatong

Camp Coolamatong is SU’s campsite in Victoria, located on the Banksia Peninsula, at the foreshore of the Gippsland Lakes, 15 minutes from Bairnsdale.

There are two distinct campsites; the Farm Camp and the Lake Camp; running specialised adventure and activity programs for primary and secondary schools, as well as private groups. INTERNSHIPS

SU is passionate about empowering and equipping people for mission and service. We offer a range of vocational training opportunities to develop your leadership and skills, stretch and grow your faith and give you an amazing experience. A volunteer internship with SU Australia or Camp Coolamatong is a great way to start your ministry journey and impact the lives of children and young people.

SU Australia Internships offer a flexible learning and practical experience. Interns can specialise in ministry with a placement in their church, a school, or with an SU ministry.

The Camp Coolamatong Internship is a year long learning experience, serving on school camps and living on-site. Training in leadership, building relationships, and gaining skills and qualifications in Outdoor Recreation or Christian Ministry.
