Trust can take you a long way

Trust can take you a long way

During the primary school-aged SUPA Heroes Camp, Zac stood out as a camper who often seemed restless and disengaged, primarily sticking to the sidelines rather than actively participating. However, he found himself comfortable confiding in Jason, one of the camp leaders, whenever he needed guidance or support. Despite initial reservations, Zac gradually developed trust in Jason’s mentorship.

At the beginning of the camp, Zac exhibited little interest in matters of faith or spirituality. Yet, a key moment occurred when Jason decided to share a few pages from the Kids’ Adventure Bible with him. To Jason’s surprise, Zac’s curiosity was immediately ignited. Rather than joining his peers in sports activities, Zac remained engaged in reading the Bible, eagerly absorbing its content and asking insightful questions about Genesis. This newfound curiosity marked a significant shift in Zac’s attitude, hinting at a growing interest to know more.

In an unexpected turn of events, Jason learned that Zac actively engaged in small group discussions the following morning. This development resonated deeply with Jason, who had prayed for Zac’s spiritual growth. He interpreted Zac’s participation as a direct answer to his prayers, seeing it as a testament to God bringing Zac closer to faith. As a gesture of this newfound connection with the Bible, Zac was given a Kids’ Adventure Bible to take home after the camp to aid in helping him continue in his search for understanding and the things of God.
