(scriptureunion.org.au)SU is a charitable 'limited by guarantee' not-for-profit organisation comprising more than 900 staff and thousands of volunteers, working with churches and serving in communities in all states and territories across Australia. All SU staff and volunteers are empowered and equipped to champion a child safe culture and are committed to the highest standards of safety and care in our work with children, young people and families.   About the roleWe are currently redesigning many of our field ministry roles to incorporate new ministry opportunities that are unfolding for the SU mission.  We are seeking a passionate leader of Christian ministries, particularly for children and young people, to step into the Field Development Manager role on an interim basis.  As the new areas of ministry responsibility become clearer, you will continue in the role with these new accountabilities and most likely with a new job title.Working collaboratively with churches, schools and volunteers, you will be responsible for leading the local delivery of SU ministry through training, coaching and leading both staff and volunteers in ministry opportunities within your district.  This includes recruiting and managing a team of school Chaplains and a group of Religious Instruction Teachers in schools.  You will also be responsible for growing SU ministry in the geographical area by establishing new camps and programs, and coaching event directors and volunteers.This role covers areas in Ipswich and surrounding locations in Southern Queensland. Please note this role is based out of a home office with frequent travel expected.
