God at work at Cooinda Camp
Campers attending this year’s Cooinda Camp at our Geographe site in Busselton experienced much more than just six days of fun, night games, a ‘leader hunt’, and an offsite excursion to a nearby animal farm, says team leader Hannah.
“Over the course of the week we saw campers grow in their faith and become more open to hearing about God. In my small group we did a nightly devotion, which the campers eagerly looked forward to, and engaged with more and more as the week progressed,” she says.
For Hannah, one of the most encouraging moments of the whole week was on the final night of camp.
“We finished on a high note with worship followed by a campfire. I saw many of the campers step out and pray aloud, including many who didn’t come from Christian backgrounds,” she says.
This year’s camp was yet another reminder for Hannah about the importance of camps like Cooinda and the honour it is to have opportunities to serve God in this way and share his love with children and young people.
“It was a privilege to see all God did throughout camp, and I look forward to seeing how he continues the work he started on camp,” she says.
Please continue to pray that God would continue his great work in the lives of each camper and our team of leaders. To support this vital work, visit su.org.au/donate.
So encouraging, to hear stories of how the Lord is working in young people’s lives, while attending camp
