Leader Encouragement and Development (LEAD) Camp is a leadership development camp for young people in years 7 to 12 who have skills and attitudes required for Christian leadership.

Through a fun and engaging program, participants will grow in their faith, learn practical skills, improve self-awareness, get practical mission experience, and find out about Christian service opportunities in their church and community (i.e. schools and camps).
Delegates will have the opportunity to shape the future of SUA in ACT/Southern NSW by working alongside current and potential SU leaders and directors, with both groups inspiring and learning from each other.

Participants will be encouraged to put their skills into practice at a local church during camp and by being part of the team for a SUPA Holiday program and/or Zone 40 primary aged camp in September*.

Campers will have the opportunity to connect with other campers through games, activities, and relaxing together by the campfire. They will also be equipped for leadership, learning practical skills such as:
What’s expected of a (Christian) leader?
Running games and activities well
Leading a small group
Effective Bible engagement
Managing Behaviour
Planning and running inclusive children’s ministry activities

*All participants over 16 and living in the ACT are required to apply for a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card and complete an SU volunteer application form with their parents. Participants living in NSW are only required to get a WWCC at 18.
