This camp has the theme of “A stranger in a strange land” and is a metaphor for middle school students ( Year 7-9) surrounded by a community that is not always supportive of a Christian worldview. The theme of the camp is based on the Book of Esther. It provides activities and studies that help campers work in teams to solve problems and have loads of fun as they learn how to live and share their faith in the place where they are at. There are lots of high energy activities and small group discussions at Camp Eagle Mountain Retreat, surrounded by rainforest near Mackay. Campers will sleep in tents provided or BYO and all food is provided. The camp typically has 15-20 campers and 5-6 leaders.
