Scripture Union’s Augusta Turners Family Festival is held every year from the 1st to the 10th January.
Our program begins with a Movie night on the 2nd Jan and concludes with a Bush Dance on the evening of the 8th Jan.
We have been presenting the good news of Jesus Christ to Augusta Turners Caravan Park patrons for over 50 years!
Our Mission is to demonstrate God’s love in how we live and share the good news of Jesus the to people staying at Augusta Turners Caravan Park. We do this by purposefully engaging with people through conversations and various activities held throughout the week. This year we are aiming to keep families connected by creating a space for play and interaction with our team around a Creation themed festival that will run from 0900 – 1130 for five mornings. Free barista made coffee and hot drinks will be on offer to the Augusta community as well as festival type activities like face painting, playdoh creations, knitting circle and bible story readings with the theme of creation woven into the activities and our conversations. Our Mission memory verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!
All our events are purposefully designed to encourage families to play together while interacting with our team. A favourite is the Sandcastle competition, where Formula 1 cars, the MCG and many more creations grace Augusta’s foreshore. Another is the Quiz night, where our marquee tent is filled with campers rigorously engaged in a battle of the minds to win the night!
