You are helping children live life to the max!

School holidays are wonderful opportunities for children and young people to not only break out and have fun, but also to discover life-changing truths. Learn below about a day camp with a difference…

An ordinary Brisbane high school was transformed for three days into a fantastical superhero world at Max Life Kids Camp. Over 60 children in years 3-6 had the time of their lives, while hearing about the “max life” God has planned for them.

“Our theme this year was superheroes with Jesus as the ultimate superhero,” shares leader and school chaplain, Sophie.

“Over half our camp is attended by young people who do not currently go to a church. At camp they have the opportunity to hear and engage with the good news in the Bible and ask questions of their leaders about Jesus. We have seen a number of children start attending a local church,” reflects Sophie.

The campers tested their superhero reflexes in Laser Tag, trained like champions with awesome sports challenges and even created their own superhero gear in fun craft activities.

“On the last day we ran a free BBQ for campers and parents. During this time, the leaders shared positives that they had noticed about each camper and one of our Junior Leaders shared his testimony,” says Sophie.

One parent approached the team leaders to say that she was overwhelmed with how positive the camp had been for her son. Due to the complexities of her son’s needs this was the first time that he had been able to participate in a camp without her being called to come and collect him. She was so surprised when he came home and told her he had the best time.

Her only complaint: that there weren’t more camps like this!

With one of the team leaders stepping down at the completion of Max Life Kids Camp 2025, we ask that you pray for another person or steering committee to take on this super-important role and keep this great ministry going and continuing to grow.

This is a fantastic affirmation of the benefits and blessings of these camps! I pray for more leaders.
