Navigating God’s garden

This past summer, teaming up with Synergy for Camp Pelican brought a fresh wave of excitement. The camp drew high school students from across the ACT and surrounding NSW, creating a dynamic mix. A fellow camp leader shared a standout moment from our Botanical Gardens scavenger hunt:

“We organized this cool scavenger hunt during Camp Pel. Picture it – the lush Botanical Gardens, a bunch of high schoolers on a mission. What struck me was how they naturally fell into roles. Some were navigating with the map, others decided our next move, and a few were checking off objectives on the clipboard. They were working together and supporting each other. We made sure no one got left behind; as we moved at the pace of our slowest member. What blew my mind was watching them live out Christian values without even realising it.”

Activities like these became a catalyst for forging friendships and building a tight-knit Christian community. Amidst the fun, campers had the space to question, explore God’s word, and see their faith flourish – all under the sun-soaked banner of Camp Pelican.
