Faithfulness to telling God’s big story spreads beyond the classroom
Through your support for ministries like RI (Religious Instruction), you’re helping to share the gospel message to a new generation.
But what if it’s more than just the kids? What if, thanks to your support, adults are also being drawn to God through scripture teaching? That’s what’s happening in a First Nations community across from Darwin Harbour.
“RI in Darwin has been going steadily, as it has for years, thanks to God’s faithfulness and the faithfulness of many volunteers who step forward into these school spaces to share God’s Word and love with students. This steady commitment is now showing fruit in some unexpected ways,” says RI teacher Johan.
A teacher recently shared that he has returned to the faith after a time apart from God as he battled through a series of deep, personal challenges. He isn’t the only one being impacted.
“We are aware that our scripture classes and presence are also impactful for teaching staff,” says Johan.
More than just the re-telling of Bible stories, the effect of children and young people’s ministry has the power to change lives. While children read God’s word together, pray and make craft, just like they are doing in Darwin, God is crafting real-life change in their lives and those around them..
“Praise God,” Johan says.
