SU Australia develops a range of teaching materials, camp and day camp programs, designed to help young people explore God, faith and the bible.

In 2024 SU Australia is facilitating the Emerge Schools Pilot Program at no cost for 10 schools nationally.

Emerge Schools is a leadership, spiritual and personal development program for students in years 10 to 12. Delivered in school by accredited SU Australia staff members, Emerge will help students; develop strong leadership competencies, define their personal attributes to create a balanced and well rounded life, and explore spiritual practices such as reading the Bible, worship and prayer.

More than ever before young people are disconnecting from Faith and Church especially in times of transition such as leaving school and starting a new phase of life. We believe we can help change this tide through support like this program in school. Further support and opportunities will be offered to young people if they choose to remain connected in the Emerge program until they are 25. They can unsubscribe at any time.

Students will be invited to deepen their leadership ability and mobility by undertaking training as a junior leader in SU Australia. This will give them all the skills to be Event ready to serve on any SU Australia Camps or Missions and have broader skills to serve in their church or community if they desire. Students will be encouraged to consider leading as a junior leader on a camp or mission to deepen their skill and connect them to a wider faith community.

Students will be encouraged to connect with their local church leaders and local church community. The SU Australia Emerge Coordinator would also like to reach out to Leadership in the student’s church community to collaborate in supporting the student and creating opportunities to exercise the young person’s skills and leadership.

We would like to collect information throughout the program including surveys from the beginning to the end of the program to track student growth and effectiveness of the program. We seek permission to use photo / video captured on the training and projects to help build and promote this program and keep sponsors informed on the effectiveness of their support.

Students will deepen their relationship with God and emerge with maturity as disciples.

All Emerge streams will require considerable input from students to ensure they maximise the opportunity to develop leadership skills.
