You supported Jeremy’s search for Truth at Leavers

Leavers Ningaloo gives school leavers an opportunity to encounter Jesus in a real way.

At face value, it’s a week of adventure, memories, and banter in the picturesque Exmouth region. It’s a time for high-school graduates join with other passionate, fun-loving young people for a week of celebrating a major milestone in their young lives.

But the true gem of Leavers Ningaloo is the space created for honest discussion and wrestling with the deeper questions of life. For many students, the end of schooling represents a crossroads – a time to think for themselves about their worldview and faith.

Thanks to your support, this ministry continues to impact countless young lives like Jeremy’s* each year, says Leavers Team Leader, Ben.

“Jeremy had been falling away from the faith. While he would still consider himself a Christian, he wasn’t really going to church anymore and was instead being led in other directions.

“But as the week went on, Jeremy really engaged with every Gospel Tent session, with the talks, testimonies and Q&A, giving him the opportunity and space to think more deeply about his beliefs,” says Ben.

By meeting Jeremy where he was at, and journeying with him as he explored those deeper questions of life, the camp leaders saw a change over the course of the week. Others were noticing it too!

A friend of Jeremy’s, who had been journeying with him told the camp’s leaders: “I’m not sure what you’ve said, but I’ve never seen Jeremy think like this before! Thank you so much”.

At the end of camp, the team gave Jeremy a copy of Seven Reasons to (Re)Consider Christianity by Ben Shaw.

“By the time we got back to Perth on the bus, he had already read 90 pages and thought it was great! Jeremy then came along to church with his friend that evening (despite being very tired from camp),” says Ben.

Thank you for all you do to make stories like Jeremy’s possible!
