ABOUT SU IN NT & THE KIMBERLEYS
Welcome to NT & The Kimberley!
In this region, SU Australia works alongside churches and communities to give children, young people and their families opportunities to discover life in God’s big story. SU has been operating in the region since 1960. Primarily involved in ministry to children and young people, SU Australia works in NT schools ministry, camping, training events for those in children’s ministry and outreach and events such as Kids Games and our Indigenous workers in remote communities seeking to engage people with God’s word in their local language.

Our Annual Youth Camp
At Yangbala Kemp (Youth Camp) in Banatjarl in the NT, campers come together for two days of fun, games, swimming, singing, and engaging with the Bible in the Kriol language. Supported by a team from SU, Camp Coolamatong, and local Indigenous Christian leaders, the camp was a massive success.
“It gives their children the opportunity to see that Christianity is not just something for adults, but for young people too.”
Please continue to pray for this vital work, and also for the SU team continuing to serve and walk alongside local Indigenous Christian leaders as they reach more young people with God’s love, hope and good news.

RI IN THE TERRITORY
SU facilitates Religious Instruction (also known as RE, SRE or Scripture) in the Territory by equipping RI teachers and supporting church-based RI teams.
Abiding by the Department of Education guidelines, the Christian faith is explored in RI using a variety of Christian programs. If you would like to get involved or find out more about RI, please contact our NT Field Development Manager Kylie Garrett for more information (kylie.garrett@su.org.au). We’re excited to find the best way for you and your church to get involved. To find out more about SRE/RI nationally, click here.
